It would be better, safer, if you stated the name of the person you were trying to contact and have THAT person decide whether or not they want to contact you through your email.
Otherwise, we're probably going to lump you in with an angry spouce, lawyer, skip tracer, stalker . . .

Since I am severely leary of posting any name on the net. I am looking for him because at one time he was a tandem master, and I am looking to do my first jump this summer. His name was Jeff, he had been in the Military, and did not live in the Beaumont area. This was around 6 or 7 years ago, and I don't even know if there is still a dz there or not.
I promise I keep my stalking to a minimum.

However, since there may be more than one Jeff, can you give us any other clues? What branch of the military? Where he may have previously lived?
I'm certain you don't want every Jeff in Beaumont punching up your ICQ #.

Wellll, let's see, I want to say it was the Air Force, but I did mention this was 6 or 7 years ago. He lived in Lake Charles, at the time he was 36 or 37, and he drove a blue van.

sorry, i cant help you! i know a jeff who is still in the USAF he never jumped though but he does have a huge cranial structure....but i guess you wouldnt care about it(until you actually saw the size of this guys head, its friggn hugE)
getting high is fun, but coming down is the best part

Dude where do you live? Are you in Texas? Does this person absolutely HAVE to do your first tandem? You seem to be off to a slow start here, there is nothing wrong with posting Jeff's last name. We are a trustworthy bunch here. I jump at a large dz in Texas and know lots of people from dropzones that used to exist but don't anymore. I am sure somebody probably knows this guy. Skydiving is a small community per se, but without a last name...its going to be hard.
On the other hand, you could go to a dropzone nearby where you live and check out their tandem instructors...that doesn't mean you have to stop looking for Jeff, of course, but you could get your first jump. That's why I asked where you live.

Only Jeff I know is a TM named Jeff Hughes. Not sure of his backgrond. But I think it would be okay to post a last name. There is really not a lot of trouble you can get into just having a first and last name, otherwise phonebooks would be freaking dangerous.
