Remster 30 #4 March 19, 2002 I've jumped at Langar, Hinton.I like Langar. You may want to avoid Hinton due to its Skreamer content , its a good DZ, but I do prefer Langar (personal taste).Checked out RAPA close to Oxford. Its a military DZs, they do allow non mil jumpers on weekends, but during the week its military only. We didnt find it very warm.For locations, check our BPA' site (the military DZ arent listed)We've never jumped elsewhere, but you may wanna ask about Sibson, Headcorn which are also kinda close to the Cambridge / London area.RemsterMuff 914 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
skreamer 1 #6 March 19, 2002 Yeah, I've jumped at both Langar and Hinton as well. Both are good, depends on what you are into. Langar has good lift capacity and if you are into RW, they do big ways most weekends. Hinton (where I jump now) has a very active freefly crowd and no annoying Canadians (actually I suppose saying 'annoying' was a *bit* redundant!! ). Then again, Cark (Hibaldstow) has the best altitude in the country (min. '14 000), so that might be worth a visit as well.One important thing to bear in mind is that Weston and Netheravon are military, so you might not be able to jump there in the week. But hell, with English weather you are probably only going to end up drinking tea and then beer with us all day anyway.... WillPS that said, come to Hinton, the place rocks!!! nacmacfeegle 0 #10 March 19, 2002 Independent opinion, not a regular jumper in Engalnd:-Sibson, Hinton, Langar, and Hibble are all good.Personally, I prefer Langar, and Hibble, but thats just me.Besides, its been a while since I was at any of these....Lat time I jumped in the UK was at St Andrews.DIt aint what you fly, its how you fly it!
