Well, I went and looked thru the classifieds and such, and didn't see an appropriate place to put this ... so will try it here and see what happens!
Skydive Aggieland's deal for the 206 fell thru, so the dzo is now looking for a plane. He said anything from a 182 up to a KingAir ... if anyone knows of one that is available (believe he will consider lease, or purchase) please email him at dzo@skydiveaggieland.com ... THANKS MUCH!!

Yeah, I just got that e-mail too...although I love to jump 182s, I had never jumped at 206 and was looking forward to it. That and the amount of business they're already pulling, they need a bigger plane.

I'm not entirely sure this is true, but the trade-off for the more space of a 206 is that they're dogs when it comes to climbing over 6K. I know I've had some half hour + trips to 10,500' in ours. It's usually a 20 minute flight in the 182 with four jumpers, weather depending of course.

What Todd was originally looking to get was a 206 with a Turbine conversion, that would take 5-6 jumpers to 14k in about the same time as a S. Otter. Then he was looking to get a 206 to do a conversion for what he called a Super-Turbo Charged engine (if I remember correctly) with wing extensions which would clime to 14 in just a little longer then a S. Otter...

Do what Skydive Monterey Bay did and hang an IO-550 on a 206. 1,100 feet per minute most of the way up to 12K!!! Sweet plane. It was one bad ass jump ship cessna.
