rhino 0 #1 March 24, 2002 I wonder if it would be possible to fly a canopy like this?? I know it's a kite but what if you were suspended by 3 40sqft vx's?? When you pull on a front riser the front risers of all 3 risers come down exactly the same.. When you pull a toggle all 3 come down exactly the same. Just an interesting thought... ramon 0 #2 March 24, 2002 Given no other flying vehicle flies quite like a weight suspended from an inflatable wing...hmmmThe Fokker DRIII...the Red Barons style plane had three wings. It had lots of lift and control surfaces for maeuvering and so could maneuver very well, but it was slow.In this case you have (theroetically only, and by no means true or exact)...three times the drag, a potential for three times the lift at a given speed and angle of attack...but you still have the same thrust....gravity. sounds big and slow, but it might turn fast (not dive so fast)If the wings were far enough apart to not steal much air from each other maybe it ould be like this...like a 120 VX with low aspect ratio.Or I could be totally guessing....QUADE???ramon
