Make way..skygod coming through

Recommended Posts

Ok, where do I begin ?
Jump #1 AFFL1

This was just a blur, the training kicked in just as my nerves left town,
landed crosswind and got dragged for a while, when I finally gathered up the chute
I took it to the packing hanger and $15 to the manifest for the ripcord that I threw away. :D
Pass.
Jump #2 AFFL2
Took a VERY deep breath at the door..so much so...that my reserve JM took it as my exit count
and left early :)but he was about 50 feet below us (and giving me the thumbs up lol) landing was good though
a bit of an ankle stinger but ok in my books.
Failed due to not relaxed and exit count and body shape (legs out all the time).
Jump #3 AFFL2
This time I added an extra count at the door got fairly stable but took too much time,
I lost altitude awareness on this one and came close to having my RC pulled by my JM :(
landing was my best yet but I knew I had failed this one.
Failed due to loss of altitude awareness.
Jump #4 AFFL2
Finally got it in the bag ...damn I just love them canopy ride's
another ankle stinger but felt a little more confident in the door.
Pass.
Jump #5 AFFL3
This went sweet too although I was still having a hard time relaxing and still not getting them leg's out.
Pass.
Jump #6 AFFL4
I was finally starting to get some sort of shape, but it was always at the bottom end of the dive
I managed to start my forward motion just over 7k and watched my altimeter almost all the way,
man that felt good. :)which took me way off, it turns out that the guy was watching someone else who he thought was me. :D
Pass.
Jump #7 AFFL5
I had this one on video, which may have been a mistake :D I forgot to do half of the manoeuvres
that I was supposed to but was surprised by the speed at which I did a turn, I still needed to relax
but alas time and money were against me just as I was starting to get "the feel" for it.
Fail (log book says relax dive next)
So summing up: I loved every single minute of it, even when we were on a wind hold nearly all day
at one point. I have been bitten on the ass by this sport
yes I need to relax more but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Many thank's to Mick & Gill at Skydive Sebastian
This bit is what I put in their guest book.
Wow..what can I say..Thanx to all the AFF instructors, and everyone I bummed a smoke off :P
Loved every single moment of it, and will be back for some more (soon I hope).
Special thanks and big up's to :Craig (video & still owe beers), Rick (smokes & laughs), Jules (smokes & smokes),
Keith (food & FREE beer & smokes), Manifest girls (for being babes)
and everyone who took the time to speak to us, even freeflying skygods...wow
Rob Stevenson, Scott, Mark, Christine, Patrick, Darren, John, Olaf, Arron and everyone else we have forgot :D
Stay safe and blue sky's from Adrian,Gary & Graham
Sorry if this is a bit long too folks, i just can't spit it out fast enough.
..Billions of people living out their lives..Oblivious..
