Did that, and case of beer. First time I ever flashed anyone in my life.
Got 17500, but someone said 18k. I just was too embarassed to ck alt.
Turns out there was a passenger up there.... I didnt know how to flash, had chest strap in way, jump suit, t shirt. It was an ordeal.
When I got up there - no turning back, it was my 100th...
So, to the lady passenger, I said - "Oh Hi, my name is uh Jumper Paula, how are you doing....., be gone in a minute, heh."
Fumble fumble fumble..... Ok... see ya... Pilot says Hey I missed it, dang it....fumble fumble, damn where are they... OK there....
I did not hear the end of it for weeks, no tan lines.....

True story:
We were at Quincy on a sunset load, and I asked someone on our load (I'll call her Jill) to go up and flash the pilot for more altitude. "What's that?" she asked. Several people rolled their eyes, and I explained the whole tradition. She thought about it, said "OK," and went up to do it.
Before continuing I should mention that a) she is very well endowed and b) she has two knee braces, a weight vest, and she gets cold easily, so she's always wearing a ton of stuff.
Anyway, she gets to the cockpit, looks sort of embarrassed, and unzips her jumpsuit. The pilot sort of leans left to give her more room. She unvelcroes her weight vest, then starts tugging at shirt #1. As she's doing this, her head hits the throttles, and I feel engine power increase. The pilot reaches up and pulls power back, still watching the show. We're at about 11,000 feet now, starting to level off for jump run.
Jill starts on shirt #2, and hits her head on the throttles again. (Later I found out she had no idea what those handles were up on the roof.) The pilot goes to pull them back, then just gives up and waits for her to be finished - thus, indirectly, accomplishing what we wanted in the first place. Finally she gets her bra up and flashes him. Everyone in the plane applauds, and the pilot gives a thumbs-up. He circles one more time and we get out around 15K.
