It's wide because I'm running dual flat-panel screens.What you see in the one window is me running Windoze via VMWare within the Linux evironment. In fact, I'm installing I think the fifth Windoze security update. The beauty of it is that Windoze thinks it's running on it's own machine, so I'm connected to my office network, can print to my printer, run Office... anything I can do on a "real" machine. But it's all enslaved by Linux. I never have to run Windoze native again! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!Oh.... sorry again.... I see the 15's on sale at Fry's here in the Bay area for about $250....Question for the techies, do you need a Dual head to run multiple monitors under Linux? Or can you have multiple cards like Win2k? Grew up way to fast, now there's nothing to believe, and reruns all become a history.... Xinerama-aware window managers can do some really cool tricks, like edge resistance between monitors and maximizing to fill one screen instead of both. The last time I used dualhead with an MS operating system was on Win98 and it would do annoying things like pop up modals so that they were split between the two screens and filling both monitors when the user hit maximize. One will also acta as the primary and when you open up something, it will usually open in that screen. I have 2 identical cards. No biggie. I've used Dual head on WinNT and the characteristics were the same. I' pretty sure dual monitors weren't supported on 9x.... Funny thing since it's always been supported on a Mac....Grew up way to fast, now there's nothing to believe, and reruns all become a history.... From a support perspective, I've always pushed for not jumping on the band wagon and getting the latest and greatest......
