damn my f@cking van..... took it into the shop to have some carb. work done and the mechanic calls me back up and says it's al fixed but my main berring is going out..... i ask how much to replace it and he says..."more than your van's worth" i ask him how long i have untill it does go out and he says it could be tommow or it could be 5 years from now...soooo, to make a long story short... i might be showing up to dz.comers houses in a month via hitch hiking..... any one know how much u-haul charges for a small truck with a car carier trailer????? cuz if it breaks down on me thatt's what i'll probly have to do to get back to colorado......

That sucks!!! See if you can find a junk yard around with an engine that will fit. My Dad did that once with a Camaro. Got a 305 out of a newer wrecked one without too many miles on it and it cost about half or less than a new engine. Good luck!

well, i'm hoping the van will make it....and the a.f. already shiped my stuff to colorado for me from germany..i still have all the stuff i got down here or had shiped from home...(i.e. my 2 rigs,bought a computer monitor, sheets and other stuff) so..... i might sell the van and rent a u-haul or chance it, get aaa with the extended towing protection and hope for the best...worst case senario, i breakdown, have the van towed to a junk yard and rent a u-haul...........but i'm keeping my fingers crossed....the mardi grass mobile will make it..it must be shown around the country before she gets put to sleep/crushed!!!

if ya want to give me a ride to del rio that's cool, it would save me some wear and tear on the van so it might make it all the way back..but only if ya want to, it's like a 3 hour drive one way........
