I got all excited, and.....

Recommended Posts

.....I didn't get to jump on saturday. I was so excited because it was safety day and first day of jumping. Well, the skies were sooo blue (unusual for the weather lately), and the wind seemed fine. Unfortunately, they weren't at the dz. Since I am not "experience" I could not jump in the 12mph winds. I actually don't think I would have wanted to try though. I haven't jumped since November, and I know winds are tricky. There were sporadic gusts. So, I was sad. On the other hand, I got to see everyone, I picked up my altimeter, and bought a cypress! My purchases are now complete (man that is a load off---but how to pay rent??)
Anyway, I am just getting totally stoked for the season, thought I would share. :)

Your *first* cypress, eh? ;);)
Don't worry, once you're off student status, those little wind holds get less and less (they still happen, crap I think the entire state of Texas was on a wind hold about a month ago, 30mph gusting past 40mph)...

aww, crap, did I say "first"?? I meant.. um, I just got another cypress...been jumpin' for years (I wish)!
AS far as the winds, I am off student status, but only like 5 jumps past it, and then there was winter. stoopid winter.
