Well.... this in no Aprils Fools joke.. The Casa is returning to Greene County this week after spending the Winter basking in the warmth known as FL... It should be back on Thursday after its trip and ready to fly on Saturday morning. We have confirmed that 3 DZ.commers from Purdue will be in, at least 1 from Ill and probally 2... Thats in addition to the already 8-10 DZ.commers normally at the DZ...
SO.... Come out and have some CASA jumps and if the talent is there... we'll try a record attempt :)I wish you would step back from that ledge my friend... ~3EB

Man, I would love to come out and jump my first CASA, but I am still a student so no chance of being on the record attempt. How is Greene County about letting someone who is done with all the student stuff, but still practicing things they need to do on their check dive (me and docking) jump? Probably just going to have to wait til I get that darn A, before I get to start having fun with all the DZ.commers at other DZs. :S

Wildblue,
I tried to respond to your PM but the dumb thing gave me an error, so I will just post it here. I don't think that will be a problem since anyone who jumps at greene county can probably answer my questions.
Not sure what the official definition of being off student status is exactly. I am not in any specific curriculum at this point, and can jump without a JM, and spot and everything. Based on my understanding, I am technically a student until I get my A license. I have done a handful of 2ways and tried a few 3ways, and just did my first 4way this weekend, but the ones that have been successful have been a result of good flying skills on the parts of the other involved, as I am still fine tuning and learning how to dock. So I can jump with others as long as they know that I am still learning and likely to screw something up if given the opportunity. I have 47 jumps and don't have any problems with stability or pulling or any of the typical student things. Do you know what is usually involved in a check-out dive?

Being a Non-USPA DZ has its perks.... like not requiring a licence as long as you are cleared from student status ;) You might need a check dive, but I'm more then happy to do it for you if you bring your log book and your gear is in good condition. Just make sure your reserve is in date. :)I wish you would step back from that ledge my friend... ~3EB
