skybytch 273 #1 April 3, 2002 I'm happy to announce that I am now a 100% completely and totally safe skydiver. Yes, the old-school I-don't-need-an-AAD Bytch is finally buying a Cypres. With the big RW jumps I'm planning to be a part of this year, I decided it was time; and a friend offered to sell me a slightly used one at a good price and take payments so... I went for it.So this means that now I can hook it in, have a main-reserve entanglement or go down with a burning airplane and I'll still live, right? pull & flare, lisa"But our reality is in fact entire illusion!"-Gregory Benford
PhreeZone 20 #2 April 3, 2002 Silly Bytch... AAD's are for Students! Congrats on the purchase. I've got to the point where I turn mine on and forget about it, just the way it should be.I wish you would step back from that ledge my friend... ~3EB

ChromeBoy 0 #8 April 3, 2002 This reminds me of a story. I was with a jumper recently off student status and we were going to do a 2 way with 360's. We dirt dove and we got to the breakoff altitude part and I said we would break off at 1,000k. He looked at me and said, "WTF!" I told him that I enjoyed the freefall the most so I usually just let my Cypres deploy the canopy. He had the most unusual look on his face and said, "I do not think I have that much experience?" I started wailing in laughter and told him it was a joke. Breakoff would be whatever altitude he wanted as long as it was above 4,00ok. It was a good ice breaker.
