I'm safe now

Recommended Posts

I'm happy to announce that I am now a 100% completely and totally safe skydiver. Yes, the old-school I-don't-need-an-AAD Bytch is finally buying a Cypres. With the big RW jumps I'm planning to be a part of this year, I decided it was time; and a friend offered to sell me a slightly used one at a good price and take payments so... I went for it.
So this means that now I can hook it in, have a main-reserve entanglement or go down with a burning airplane and I'll still live, right? ;)
pull & flare,
lisa

This reminds me of a story. I was with a jumper recently off student status and we were going to do a 2 way with 360's. We dirt dove and we got to the breakoff altitude part and I said we would break off at 1,000k. He looked at me and said, "WTF!" I told him that I enjoyed the freefall the most so I usually just let my Cypres deploy the canopy. He had the most unusual look on his face and said, "I do not think I have that much experience?" I started wailing in laughter and told him it was a joke. Breakoff would be whatever altitude he wanted as long as it was above 4,00ok. It was a good ice breaker.

they're having a blast with this one over in wreck.

That may have been premature, what I should have said (and I apologize) is that your post got some recognition over in wreck.
You have to believe the party will start soon. :)-

Thread "Oh My Fscking God" by Squirts.
Not really any play on it, only one followup, mentioning how rec.dot gets so badmouthed over here. (Which I have never understood -- it goes in cycles, like any unmod group on USENET. There can be good things over there, Snuffy has calmed down and TT actually talks about other things than RN (hardly mentions him at all -- doing a good job of keeping his New Year's resolution).

BTW bill,
Your RSL/No RSL post has some responses, but no explosion. Actually seems to be staying on topic. At least staying to AADs and RSLs.

To further your satirical scolding of the inappropiate use of grammer on the Dropzone.com forums, I wanted to make another point. The seemingly complete lack of understanding of the differences between the uses of there, their and they're lends its self to be annoying; moreover, the inability to appropiately use the various forms of 'your' is enough to make the "grammer nazis" loose control of their temper.
:D (that was a joke guys)

To more points I'd like two make is on the use of the too or three letter words to, too, and two. We really do use to many diferent variations of that one at the wrong time, two. Just my to sense worth.
