mountainman 0 #1 April 11, 2002 Hey all...this is for all of those people who are still in HS and are planning on heading out to prom and what have you. When I was a senior in highschool, we did one of those "mock crashes" at ours and I was one of four people to be a part of it. I played the part of the "drunk driver" and I was arrested. We had several ambulances, many cops and had the chopper from Toledo come in (60 miles away). So, you can check out the news clipping HERE and see a great shot of me getting arrested by the 2-time Ohio Tough Man Contest winner (boxing).Enjoy and think before you drink-n-drive. diverdriver 7 #6 April 11, 2002 Yah, well, when you go to an all boy highschool it's kind of hard to find dates when you're straight. And the rejections just got too tough. Asked one girl to go to prom. Turned me down. Didn't wanna buy no crummy flowers no how.
TheMarshMan1 0 #7 April 11, 2002 QuoteI wouldn't trade any of those dances for the worldI went to two proms in high school. They both sucked. I would trade either of them for a jump ticket. My senior prom, I flew 120 miles to pick up my date, and...nevermind, I'm not going to even go into the details. That ungrateful beeotch. Proms are a waste of money...any high school guys reading this: be forewarned- they are no fun and will suck your wallet dry!"If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..." indyz 1 #11 April 12, 2002 Went to a bunch of junior high dances. Fun because nobody danced, just hung out. In high school I went to one homecoming, which sucked. I also went to junior prom which sucked, but I had fun later so I won't complain .--Brian
jumppilot01 0 #12 April 12, 2002 >>>>I flew 120 miles to pick up my date, and...nevermind, I'm not going to even go into the details.<<<<I will. Although not a prom, I flew a girl to downtown Indianapolis (if anyone is from there, Rick's Boatyard Cafe near Eagle Creek airport) for dinner...Ended up spending over $300 for the adventure and what did I get from her? Not even a kiss goodnight. Now I'm not saying I wanted her to go to the end of the world for me, but when a guy does that a kiss (on the cheek or lips) is in order.I wonder why I date.-Adam
TheMarshMan1 0 #13 April 12, 2002 OK, since you did, I guess I can too. I spent around $300 on that trip, and just got a peck on the lips. It was no easy trip either...when I took her back, I had to fly an NDB aproach to mins., and then had to go to my alternate on my way back home and wait till 2am for the weather to clear enough so I could shoot a GPS approach into my home airport. ,...and then there was the time I flew my friend's girlfriend 2.5 hours in solid IMC to Teterboro, NJ so she could see him, only to end up getting stuck there for 22 hours because the prop governor was acting up.......and then there was the time I flew my best friend and his g/f to a fancy restaurant for dinner on V-day, and basically got no thanks......and the list goes on...and on.....and on.........I'm beginning to think I've been being used for my ability to fly a plane, lol.....its ok...I need to rack up hours somehow..."If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..." diverdriver 7 #14 April 12, 2002 Well, back in the day when I learned to fly we didn't HAVE GPS. Hell, we didn't even have approaches. Just lit bonfires to guide our way. And that's another thing....we didn't have any daylight back then either......it was up hilll....both ways.....always snowed.......open cockpit........no scarf (we're men damn it! We don't need no stinkin scarf!)

FallinWoman 1 #18 April 12, 2002 So I guess you guts don't want to hear that during my high school existence I went to six proms and they all kicked ass...My senior prom date was the best...we were just pals, he was from a different school. He was there if I wanted him to be and let me goof off with my friends if I wanted. He did not even object to me dancing with my long-time crush...what a guy!!!Anne
