Recommended Posts

After the injurys sustained by Chris Saline many people have been throwing around different ideas to help Chris with his long road to recovery. With the help of Nolan Ryan and the Round Rock Express BaseBall Team and Dell Diamond we have a start. Skydive San Marcos has agreed to perform a # of Demo's @ no cost to Dell Diamond and in exchange the Express are throwing us a party. For those of you not familure with the Express and Dell Diamond they are the AA team for the Houston Astros, there home is a brand new fabulous Facilty located in Round Rock, just outside of Austin, TX. The Express have agreed to furnish Fifty Tickets that will give us passage to the First base Party Area. Along with this they are furnishing Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Chips, Cokes,Ice Tea and yes a keg of BEER. OH!!! did I mention that the Party Area has a Huge Pool and Jaccuzi, is fenced in and over looks the field. All proceeds are going to the Chris Saline Recovery Fund. We will be taking donations starting @ $20.00 per ticket but we ask for as much as you can spare, Chris has a long road ahead of him so lets get his journey started off right! The game is sheduled for May 8th @ 7:05 to get on board just drop us a line @ ssmi@corridor.net or give us a call @ 512-488-2214
Thanks a blue Skies
The Staff @ SSM

I do not know Chris personally, but I did visit Skydive San Marcos for the first time this past weekend. (yes, I bought my beer) I'm in Texas for about a month on business and was looking for a place to jump when I found this DZ. WOW! The vibes of everyone I met was awesome. I had heard a lot about the place from jumpers in Florida and they were right. A week after the accident, some of Chris' close friends were at the DZ and although they were worn and tired from the previous days they were able to put together some great dives. I was happy to be a part of it. They are a strong force and are working so hard on the recovery fund. Chris truly has some wonderful friends and I am glad I had a chance to meet some of them. The Baseball fund is a great idea, but I think $20.00 is too little to start the bid. I called the DZ and got my two tickets, have you called and got yours???? Remember, be generous.

Phil, Deb, SDSM:
as always, you are taking care of your own. you guys have always been fun to be around, and very caring people. count me in on the project, and i urge other's to get on board as well. this is of course, a tradegy, not only for chris, but his family, and friends as well. let's all show our support, and help this "brother" out. thanks SDSM for your efforts, and to Nolan Ryan and crew for helping out as well. best wishes to chris, and his family, and friends, here's for a speedy recovery!
