thrillseek 0 #1 April 16, 2002 I need everyone's help. My (ignorant) university is citing risk and liability as reasons for shutting down our skydiving club. We are the first officially recognized club in Kentucky, so this is important to keep alive. Does anyone have any pertinent statistics that will help our cause?? Advice?? an extra miracle?? AggieDave 6 #2 April 16, 2002 Hey, drop me an e-mail and I'll point you to some of the officers and advisors for the Aggie club. For one, we're the oldest collegate skydiving club in the nation and two, after Bonfire everything went through some serious Risk Management stuff and we were looked over with an eagle eye, but we passed with flying colors. That says a lot since quite a bit of some of the stuff that the other organizations used to do was stopped due to Risk Management.Good Luck, unfortunatly sometimes the administration are pompous assholes who don't have a fucking clue to what's going on in the real world....A human cannonball, I rise above it allUp higher then a trapieze, I can fly
westcoastchica 0 #3 April 16, 2002 hey thrillseekwish i could be of better help, but this is all i can come up with: http://joereger.com/journal_fs.joe?eventtypeid=5 (click on "skydiving safer than driving") this guy's website was posted about in the forums a long time back and i still have these statistics i printed out from his page. i don't know if it cites other references some place else, but it's worth checking out. maybe it will help. if anything, it's a neat website to check out.seems like a lot of schools have great clubs that are well established. dave had a great idea in suggesting you contact club officers of clubs across the nation. good luck! Just a thought.
 Join the conversation You can post now and register later. If you have an account, sign in now to post with your account.
