PhreeZone 20 #1 April 18, 2002 Woo hoo! Phree is back…. I just wanted to drop a few thanks out to some people I meet in Texas on my trip before I spend the next 3 days catching up at work.Phil and the Staff at Skydive San Marcos…. You are the greatest group of people that I’ve ever met! You went out of your way to make sure I had a good time at the DZ and I loved my time there. If anyone is in the area… DEFFINITY check out San Marcos… The DZ has a Cessna DZ vibe but turned something like 22 Otter loads on Saturday. There are so many outs that you have to work to get your self into a bad spot… The Otter is just a smooth ride, and the people… just the best compared to every other DZ I’ve been to….Skydive Spaceland, Trent and their staff... I didn’t get to spend that much time at the DZ due to bad weather on Tuesday and having to leave early on Wednesday… but they seemed like a pretty cool crowd. The Otter was running mostly at the fewest people that it would and even with kicking upper’s the spots were always right on.AirAnn and Cyber... those 2 just rock! I had a great time hanging out with you. Maybe on my next TX trip I’ll be able to jump with both of you.I lost track of everyone I meet but just from the equivalent of a Monday memory (plane landed at 12:35 last night)... I remember Jessica, Snowflake, AirAnn, CyberSkydive, Cloud9, and Trent (he’s a DAMN good free flier!)I got 7 jumps in with some of the coolest people that I’ve meet yet and rest assured… I’m planning another trip to TX soon since I had such a good time… Sorry if I forgot any one.... I sat around the DZ till about 1pm or so, staring at the clouds, but gave up and left. Couldn't come back Wednesday due to class. airann 1 #9 April 18, 2002 I think I'd rather next time we go to see Goat.!!I would also like for you guys to see a little more of Houston's downtown action, as well as, other highlights such as a Catfish Stack at Sunset. You will be down in plenty of time from your Waller famous "frosty beverage load" to see the stack and downplanes against the beautiful sky. Also at Waller here in Houston, if you know the secret handshake, I can introduce you to some FFers who are little known but sizzle in the sky. Its so laid back you can almost hear Cessnas. But Its a beautiful painted Otter with a giant sun on the side. The exit shots are really pretty with this aircraft in the background.
