IMF WorldBanc Protests

If any of you guys are interested, I went to the IMF WorldBanc Protests this past weekend in DC. (The weather wasn't too jumpable) I tried to play photo-journalist and get some pictures. Check them out HERE

I'm impressed that the demonstrators are learning to not be violent. I was in both Ottawa and Quebec city when they got trashed. I never understood how these people thought they were helping.
One of my good friends from high school regularly got arrested for demonstrating when he was in college. He'd usually play the passive role, refusing to move, getting carried off by the cops. The cops hated him because he was pretty fat, and the cops would have hernias trying to move him. Adrian was one of those individuals who would just go demonstrate for pretty much any cause, he had at least SOME belief in most causes, plus I think he just liked stiring shit. He eventually learned that people like him weren't helping. Plus he got tired of spending the night in jail.
In a slightly strange example of irony, he's a fireman now. Not as funny as if he'd been a cop, but still funny.

I didn't go to the dz because of the weather either Kevin. Although, I didn't go to downtown D.C. because of the weather as well. I saw the clips on the local news though.
