In yesterday's paper they listed the average salaries for each state in New England. Naturally Connecticut has a slight lead over Massachusetts. Much to my surprise, I make more than the average. If this is true, why do I feel so broke?:(

I still don't know what you knew.

Not much apparently.....1 and 1/2 years after the military I'm still a $100 or so per week short of what I used to make in the military. Of course....I was in the military for almost 10 years to get to that so I guess I can't complain too much.

Hell, right now $8 a hour sounds like damn good pay, stupid college town has a huge labor market and can pay next to nothing...I made a hell of a lot more in high school doing computer stuff...

LOL, wait until you are an LT. I think we figured our hourly pay to be about $4-5 and hour when you figure in deployment time and field time where you are on duty 24 hours a day. Something to look forward too! :)

Yeah, but you do get some good benifts, housing, medical, etc.
Beyond that, if I wanted to make money, I would have stuck with wanting to go into the Tech field, this is something that I want to do. :)A human cannonball, I rise above it all

Damn, that's not much. Especially considering the cost of living there.

I thought the same thing. And this amount is one of the highest, if not the highest, in the country!
I realized though that they do take into account all full time jobs and there are alot of them close to the minimum wage. You know, trailer park trash like AggieDave.;).
BTW, I am a single guy and that amount of money would be too low for me. It's no wonder, so many families need two incomes these days.
