Slappie 9 #3 May 3, 2002 Thanks, I'm diggin them... a friend emailed me the link to them on Friday last week. I hooked up on Monday and have been listening since. 5-1-02 was the "Day of Silence" when all i-net radio station across the net intersperced their broadcasts with moments of silence all at the same time. It's going to be a sad day when the US Gov & Record Comp get their way AGAIN {look at what happened to Napster} My New Website with 24hr Chat

freefallin14 0 #5 May 3, 2002 The best record label in the world, HOOJ CHOONS.Check their website out www.hooj.com for a ton of previews and samples. No live webcasts, but tons and tons of the best music in the world for anyone interested in techno. They are where I get almost all my vinyl, but have a ton of stuff on cd too. It is also where all the major names get a lot of stuff (Oakenfold, Sasha, Digweed, etc.)Bret

I went into [the CEO's] office, and he said to me, "I honestly don't give a f--k what your husband sings, what he does. All I know is, he sells a lot of beer." what do you think clear channel thinks of their listeners????corprate america sucks!!!if ya can't dodge it RAM IT !!!!!!click me
SudsyFist 0 #8 May 4, 2002 QuoteThe best record label in the world, HOOJ CHOONS.i must admit that hooj does take up a half-decent amount of space in my crates...yoshitoshi, pitch black, and baroque are also quite good, along a similar progressive groove as that of hooj. not to mention bedrock.doh, better stop before i get carried away... steve
freefallin14 0 #9 May 4, 2002 The music industry is full of shady, lying, greedy, scum of the earth, fake, materialistic, scamming, uninterested, piece of sh*t people. It is not "all about the music"Bret

Slappie 9 #11 May 4, 2002 Quoteclear channel is to radio as microsoft is to computers!!! Your so correct sir.. I'm in Houston and have seen our "local" station become a shadow of what they used to be.. It's really not fun to have a radio station go to crap in front of your ears.. People really don't think about what they listen too and what people are behind it.. All I ask is LISTEN once in awhile see that there is ADD free radio out there.. You don't have to give some huge CORP money for nothing!! FUCK THEM!!My New Website with 24hr Chat
Iflyme 0 #12 May 5, 2002 QuoteLet's all support the FREE I-net broadcasts Just a thought here ... while I am no fan of record companies, the artists who create the music you enjoy need to eat and pay the bills, too ... you wouldn't do your job for free, would you???"There's nothing new under the sun"
indyz 1 #13 May 5, 2002 Quotethe artists who create the music you enjoy need to eat and pay the bills, too ... you wouldn't do your job for free, would youPersonally, I don't have a problem with 'net radio. In order to not use massive amounts of bandwidth the audio quality is usually at the level of FM radio and often worse. Even then most 'net radio stations can't handle more than a few hundred or thousand listeners at a time. Beyond that, the legality of net broadcasts is in question. Record companies see it as stealing want even radio stations with a real world presence to shut down Internet broadcasts. Proponents say it is just as legal as normal radio. This hasn't been challenged in court yet, as far as I know.--Brian
diver123 0 #14 May 5, 2002 Nice find... Thanks for sharing! It's like having your own personal dj on the web!!!"pull high! It's lower than you think..."
Slappie 9 #15 May 6, 2002 I agree QuoteIt's like having your own personal dj on the web!!! The quality of the broadcast is amazing. This guy has worked hard to keep it free. Also the quality of the play list is great, it's not the same songs over and over again. I've been turned onto some DJ's that I would never even think of listening too. I went out this weekend and even bought some CD's {Here ya go Record Companies I spent money because of free radio!!} that I really enjoyed online. Just so I could have them in the truck with me all the time. My New Website with 24hr Chat
