chuckakers 426 #26 May 8, 2002 That question creates its' own stalemate. If I had to give up the social interaction involved with skydiving, the jumping wouldn't be any fun. If had to give up the skydiving and keep the social interaction, the guys I hang out with every weekend would be a bunch of whuffos. Oh no, my head is starting to hurt...Chuck AkersHouston, Texas

Remster 30 #28 May 9, 2002 QuoteIt's rare that I make it even to midnight anymore...Thank you! I though we were the only fuddy duddies left in skydiving!I like socializing, but the "set up" has a lot to do with it. I love drinking a few and chatting around the campfire... Bars are just not as nice i find: loud, smokey, and you cant just hang out listening to the rest of the BS...In the UK, the DZs I've been to have bars, not campfires, which is a bit of a bummer if you ask me... I also think campfire are great for lowtimers / new jumpers. Its easy to sit there and slowly get into conversations, as opposed to smelly bars....RemsterMuff
Scratch 0 #29 May 9, 2002 Remster, ask Skreamer what a Citrusdal "braai" is.He will probably start to cry. There is nothing better than the smell of grilling meat over open coals. Cool beers in hand. High quality bullshit being spoken and a huge bonfire in the center of the cooking area.To top it all, a day of skydiving behind you and a day of skydiving to look forward to.The weekend is almost here I wish the real worldwould just stop hassling me~~~matchbox20
