Snowbird 0 #1 May 10, 2002 Just been lurking for awhile now. But today I start my PFF. I'm so nervous, my butterflies have butterflies. I keep telling myself that everyone feels this way and I can do whatever I need to, and that I know how awesome it will be in the air so just get out of the bloody plane and it'll be great! The first jump is IAD... freak, my gut is just a mess right now. But the weather is perfect! The day is here! I've been waiting for half a year for this! (breath in, breath out...)Wish me luck! Sebazz1 2 #3 May 10, 2002 Experience makes perfect, you just need plenty of air time and those jitters will subside. It is important to focus on the right things. Don't try to impress your JM or worry about anyone else but yourself. Focus on what you have to do. An old JM told me long time ago and I say it almost all the time to people........."slow is smooth and smooth is fast"I think you know you're gonna kick some ass and enjoy it. Have a rockin day while mst of us are working.........Sebazz........
freeflir29 0 #4 May 10, 2002 Besides....Whats the worst thing that could happen? Just kidding you....Take your time...relax...breathe...slow is fast! Above all else...SMILE....cause if you're not smiling you're not doing it right! "It's all about the BOOBIES!"
Sebazz1 2 #5 May 10, 2002 I am not really familiar with PFF. Can someone give me a quick run down? I am sure it is a variation of AFF right? Oh goody goody I might learn something new todaySebazz........
Remster 30 #6 May 10, 2002 PFF is the Canadian AFF. Instead of starting with Freefall, you must do 3 AIDs.RemsterMuff

Snowbird 0 #11 May 10, 2002 Thanks all! Stomach less queasy, at least for now.Actually, I only have to do 1 IAD, since I did five last fall. Then I go straight to freefall jumps with two instructors. THAT I'm looking forward to. I really don't like that strut...

skymama 37 #14 May 10, 2002 Snowbird, don't worry, MANY of us have been in the same boat. I did the IAF program too. I was so nervous, I ate Pepto Bismol on my way to the dz everytime I went for the first few months. I ended up losing 60 pounds, most of it due to my nervous stomach at the beginning!Just remember, lots of people jump every day and are fine. Don't let the fear get the best of you. Faces your fears, live your dreams! AndreaI'm high as a kiteI just mightStop and check you out.
