AggieDave 6 #1 May 12, 2002 Good bye!Today marked the end of my career in the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M, I have finished the 4 years and marched an emotional Final Review today. The past 4 years have been filled with many experiences, some good, some bad, but all leaving a learning experience. Tomorrow I step out into the world as a normal college student, with out the military lifestyle that has ruled my life for the past 4 years. I am excited about the future, although I'm saddened with time's passing as anyone who knows me personally knows how much the Corps means to me and how much apart of my life it was. Atleast now I have an enormous amount of time to devote to my grades (I have another, a 5th year of school left) and more time to devote to getting prepaired for OCS and TBS so I can become a member of the Corps, the Marine Corps.Sometime if you want a laugh, ask me to tell some stories from my fish year, or some of the funny things that would happen at Bonfire cut and stack, or one of the many other stories that have happened of the past 4 years. Attatched is a picture from one year ago when I became a Zip in the Corps, this is me with my buddies from my Company (C-2). Those guys are closer then my family in many ways. Beachbum 0 #2 May 12, 2002 congrats Dave!!! ... welcome back to civvy life. I guess if you miss it TOO much you could probably talk someone into coming to your apartment and rousting you in the middle of the night once in a while ... As long as you are happy with yourself ... who cares what the rest of the world thinks?

ChromeBoy 0 #5 May 12, 2002 QuoteSometime if you want a laugh, ask me to tell some stories from my fish year, What's a fish year? You studied fish? What kind of fish and what aspect of them? How to catch them? How to clean them? Or, how to cook them? Anyways, congratulations on finishing your fourth year. What are you studying your fifth year, birds? I don't see what studying fish and birds can teach you but as long as it makes you a better Marine that's cool.Work safe chat[ all the time!

kmcguffee 0 #14 May 12, 2002 Congratulations Dave! Graduating from the Corps is something that you will be even more proud of as time goes on. I graduated from a different Corps of Cadets about 10 years ago and my classmates are still some of my closest friends. You're dead set on that Marine Corps thing huh. You seem like you might be too smart for those guys. They might not let you in. The Army is always looking for good officers! j/k Rhino.I'm all in favor of keeping dangerous weapons out of the hands of fools. Let's start with typewriters. steve1 5 #15 May 13, 2002 Congratulations. I almost went into the Marine Corps, but went Army instead. You ought to go Recon if you get the opportunity. They are a tough bunch who really loved doing pushups in jump school. Steve

MiataDRM 0 #19 May 14, 2002 Dave,Quit dragging your feet and get to OCS! :-) In all seriousness, congrats. We're always looking for "good" Officers to lead our Marines! With your dedication you will excel where ever you go. I was hoping you would be in VA this summer, to jump together, before I leave for Cherry Point...oh well, I'm sure I'll run into you later on. AggieDave 6 #20 May 15, 2002 I was supposed to be in VA this summer, but I sort of biffed my grades semester this past fall, so I couldn't do it. That's ok, things are back on track now and its looking like next summer I'll be headed up there for a 10-week vacation with 6 months of fun directly following!More and more I'm finding that the world is infact a very small place, we will meet eventually, that is bound to happen.AerialsSo up highWhen you free your lives (the) eternal prize
