Slowfaller 0 #1 May 15, 2002 Who else is part of the "My rig cost more than my car club"? I'm proud to say that I drive a rust bucket in order to skydive. 1989 Honda CRX SI w/ 133,000 miles on it. The sun roof is kinda stuck open on it right now. The antenna got ripped off the top so the radio doesn't work but I do have a CD player. Rust everywhere so it matches the yellow really well and will eventually be covered in skydiving stickers. It cost a lot less then my Rig. mountainman 0 #4 May 15, 2002 Last year I bought a 1995 Nissan Sentra. It has 136,000 miles on it right now. However, it is in almost perfect shape. It has power everything, AC, cruise, power sunroof. I only paid $2900 for it!!! Well, when the engine dies on this thing, it'll be time for a nicer ride. freeflir29 0 #5 May 15, 2002 Well...I'm a cheap bastard so I have had a 1982 Jeep CJ-7 since 1991. It was paid for by 1993. The tags cost me $28 this year and the insurance is $317 per year for full coverage. I put a new engine in it in 98. It has about 40,000 miles or less on it. Of course if you count all the extra money that has slowly gone into keeping it running it is probably more like 1200 bucks more. So I guess that means that my rig is more durable than my car.
