Little piece of Heaven on Earth.......

Recommended Posts

I went to bed Saturday evening leaving my son in the living room watching his Disney movie. Shortly after going to bed, maybe 20 minutes after I hear this little soft voice from the crack in my door. My 4.5 year old son softly asked if he could come to bed with me and cuddle for a while. I said sure thing little buddy.. He JUMPS in bed with me, lays on my bare chest, playing with the hair for a second or two.. He then wrapped his little arms around me, said Daddy I love you, you are my best friend.. I thought I was in Heaven.. I kissed him on his forehead and not a minute later he was sleeping peacefully on my chest. I could feel his heart beat on my chest. I could feel him breathing. I turned the TV off, took a deep breath and cried.. I have never been so happy in my life.. I thanked God for my son. Laying there arms wrapped around him, this little person that inspires to be like me is the best feeling in the world. For any of you that don't have kids I hope you get to know what that feels like someday. It was special, everytime it happens I take a moment to really think about it and what is important to me.. My son is my life.. I hope your kids are yours.. I just wanted to share this with everyone.. My little boy is the greatest!

I had the same feeling Satuday morning when my 3 year old Drake came in and roused me sleepin on the couch. He said
"Dad, pull my finger!" I did and he farted like a little hippo and said " Dad, pull my finger again!" Bam another one "Dad pull my finger again" and another. After he was done rippin' about 5 in a row, I sat their and cried from laughter. My son is just like me...

LMAO. That sounds like my little hellion. I have two boys, 3 and 5. The 3 year old is a hard headed terror (just like his dad). The 5 year old is smart, loving, and decent (just like his mom).
Yesterday in church my 5 year old was watching me. Everytime I put my hands behind my back he would too. If I put my hands in my pockets he would do the same. It was frightening to realize just how much he copies everything that I do. It puts a lot of pressure on you but moments like rhino described make it all worth it.
I'm all in favor of keeping dangerous weapons out of the hands of fools. Let's start with typewriters.

my sister helped my mom out on that one, so i'm in the clear for awhile! :)ok so had to tell my funny story of the weekend since i was stuck on the ground...my niece's 1st birthday party. my sister makes a pinata, but incorrectly, accidentally...so the thing was never going to break. i almost bust my sides laughing from:
1. 3 year olds swinging madly at ladybug pinata with a large metal rod
2. other 3 year olds running directly to pick up candy, despite the ever-swining large metal rod. :)OMG i laughed so hard. whuffo weekends due to bad weather aren't all that bad after all...this just goes to show that not all of the videos on "america's funniest" are NOT necessarily staged.
