Scratch 0 #2 May 22, 2002 3 Months is excessive IMHO. Go get a second opinion.I wish the real worldwould just stop hassling me~~~matchbox20
drenaline 0 #3 May 22, 2002 Dunno if it's the same but I got excimer laser (bye bye glasses) and 4 days later (1-operation day, 2-resting day and a lil outdoor party at night, 3-outdoor party day and night, 4-jump day) I made 3 jumps. Make sure you have your dark glasses EVERYTIME. Jump with black lens goggles and please be very carefull with your eyes. Oh yeah remember your eye drops and have your fake tears at hand.Explain to your doctor about the goggles and how they "don't" seal your eyes like a scuba diving mask (or show it to him) and that it gives your eyes protection to the wind, dust blah blah blah and they are tinted or black. The doc did told me 3 months but for scuba diving."Life is full of danger, so why be afraid?"drenaline
rgoper 0 #4 May 22, 2002 i had it done, and i'd wait the 3 months, unless you want to do some hop-n-pops.Richard"Gravity Is My Friend"
SkydiveMonkey 0 #5 May 22, 2002 What about using a full face helmet? Any ideas? There's no tomorrow - you ain't gonna live it for me - The Offspring
weid14 0 #6 May 22, 2002 I know poeple (at least three) that jumped two days later (surgery thrusday -- big ways &/or fast 4way Saturday). They wore full faces. Dr Joel did their surgury and he's a skydiver, also. I'm making no recommendations either way
 faulknerwn 38 #7 May 22, 2002 I waited a month after mine. I deliberately did it in January where I expected a lot more bad weather than normal. I definitely wouldn't have done it 4 days later, because your flaps are still healing.W
 Topcat 0 #8 May 22, 2002 Had mine done last December and I was jumping again in a week and a half.
