Pier Ltd and Customer Service..wow!

Recommended Posts

So here I was earlier in the week hunting for a Sabre-2 150, jumping onto different vendor websites to pull off prices. I jump onto Pier Ltd's (www.pierltd.com) on Tuesday and notice that they sell the S2-150 for $1,400 vs the standard $1,492 I found on alot of the other more well known vendors. They also say - "We won't charge extra for credit cards." - so I'm thinkin' - cool, I'll buy from them. After going back and forth with Marcus via email on being able to split the order over 2 credit cards, and getting all the info into them - I get a message out of the blue today from Mike at Pier Ltd. along the lines of,
'Can you get us your expiry dates, the FAXes of the cards wasn't all that clear. BTW, we're gonna charge ya *LESS* than what we said we would for the hassle. '
So I call 'em up, and get into making sure everything is ok with the order and the get the numbers to them, and get talking to how Mike used to work, way back in the day, up at the Wisc. Dells as a demo jumper for a show there. Way cool.
So 2 thumbs up for Pier Ltd. :)

Nice!!!...ok so grumpy when does your NEW CANOPY get here.....hmmm?...First NEW Canopy?....hmmmm..
BTW, Hope your staying for the TF BBQ this weekend....Hell we should be able to get you your TF number too....I would say just funnel on a 10 way jump but I dont think Jerry would like that too much.
And if there is anyone else in the Chicago area....common guys...this is to help get a Kid a truly awsome wish.

Pier is the best when i was ready for my first rig the guy sat on the phone with me for over 2hrs explaining everything and making sure i was making a wise purchase. But the really cool part of the whole conversation was the fact that the guy was off the clock when i called him. he said that they had been closed for awhile and he still took the time to talk a newbie.
why jump when you can fly

Heh, Yeah yeah I owe beer for more than that now - first time on a 150, first new canopy, first new jump suit (Jenny promised to hand deliver it tommorow), who knows what else :)So one case will be acquired.
I thinking of holding out on the TF# until #99 comes up - it's a Canadian thing - every school kid back home wanted the number of the 'Great One'. But we shall see - maybe I can request that the number not be issued until #99 comes up?
Taking out a 10 way - no prob, been there, did that..which one of our group hasn't yet? ;)
Expecting to be at SDC later this evening, and will head back to Madison on Monday afternoon - dropped the 'kids' off at the ferret sitter, so no early trips back needed. So BBQ, jumping and parting are in the mix.

Man you missed my most recent attempt at funneling the formation...I docked on and reached like a dufus...flipped over, ended up sitting on Adams head and had Pete's head between my legs....
We call that Sit Face Flying.,..We flew like that stable for a good 5-4 seconds then they broke the round to let me fall off...
I believe we have a new skydiving style..
