Level 3 Videos

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, I finally got my L3 videos dubbed to my computer. I failed both of them, I am planning on jumping again in a week or so. Any input is welcome. Here are the links. If i didn't pull early, I would have past the 3rd one, I didn't hold it long enough.

Dude you will get it! Try laying belly down in your bath tub that gives you a nice natural arch. I can't tell if that spin is from your legs or your arms. If its your arms just pretend your sticking your thumbs in your ears that will keep your arms nice and even. If its your legs just do some toe taps to give you a feel for where your legs are.

Defiantly Relax! I know its hard to do sometimes I had to do my lvl 6 3 times and spend 10 min in the wind tunnel because i was so stiff. But once i figured it out it was cake after that. You will get get past it don't worry. Still on student status myself (shitty ass wind!) i know how frustrating it can be at times remember skydiving is fun!! :)Matt

Relax... smile... you'll nail it next time. :)btw, I've jumped that 206 (51Z) - bunches of times; it's in several of my early videos. Who's the pilot? Is that Bill Holley? If it is... tell him Lisa from Paso says hi!

Relaxation is key....deep breath, look out at the horizon. You seem to be looking straight down alot. Your arms are also back pretty far. You should be able to see them in your peripheral. Notice how you had to bring your arm down to look at your alti, it should just be a turn of the wrist and head. But above all, just take that deep breath, look out at the horizon and pick a heading.

It looks like you nailed the spins on your second jump... you just got nervous at pull time and dropped a shoulder.
RELAX! And I mean both physically and mentally! Relax physically by loosening your muscles, let the wind blow your arms and legs back into their neutral position. You're flying now, think of how elegantly birds fly. You're one of them, now. Relax mentally by clearing your mind, taking deep breathes, and think of that bird...
Keep it up. Keep these simple thoughts in mind, and I'm sure you'll nail it on your next try.

Jason, You'll be fine. Just relax, work on those arms and take control of the skydive. If you are turning, control it. A rexaxed arch will not always stop you, it may take some control and counter the unwanted turns.
Hey, Tell Vick hello from Tom Berg when you see him again.. He and Connie are great people. I just spend most of my time at Monterey and don't ever get to Byron.
