CanEHdian 0 #1 June 10, 2002 Downwind swoop today, discovered that my old knees can't run like they used to...Looking for tried/true/proven methods of removing grass stains from a jumpsuit (white & red).Much appreciated!Cheers,CanEHdian
iynx 0 #3 June 10, 2002 The problem with bleach is that it would bleed the red, no? Then he'd just have a pink and red jumpsuit. Ask an old lady if you find one. Old ladies always seem to know the answer.Good judgement comes from experience, and experience?---well, that comes from poor judgement.
AndyMan 7 #4 June 10, 2002 Tide has always worked well for me.... Especially the liquid stuff. Pre-treat the stains and rub the fabric against itself, then just do a normal load. it's worked every time for me, but I have a dark jumpsuit._AmICQ: 5578907MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfeYahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

rking12 0 #8 June 10, 2002 Ammonia is good for grass stains. After this treatment you might also try some OxyClean. It has worked wonders at our DZ.
Jimbo 0 #9 June 10, 2002 I'm with Andyman - Tide has always worked well, just rub it into the stain and wash like you normally would. If that doesn't work I've had good luck with a product called Zout as well.-Jim
bbarnhouse 0 #10 June 10, 2002 okay.this won't cause your colors to "bleed" and will do the job. We all use Simple Green.Works like a charm"Cheeky lil' thing aren't ya?" sez Ash
dove 0 #11 June 10, 2002 Two suggestions:I would first use a product they sell in the US called "Stain Devils." They make a different one for each type of stain (grass, blood, ink, etc) that are specially formulated to get out that specific stain. They work really well. If you can't find that...Sponge with 2 parts cold water and 1 part rubbing alcohol. Rinse. Launder. (From my domestic days pre-skydiving)Good luck!
