Finally got a Rig....

I know it's hard to believe, I still can't really believe it myself. Thanks to a great guy who ordered a new container. and being at the right place at the right time on the dropzoen to hear him ask "Know anyone who needs a rig that holds a 170?". I scored a 2000 Vector3 all stainless with hip-rings, & PD-160 Reserve. We are almost the exact same size in height and torso length. So the harness fits like a glove. It's all only about a year old!! Has under 350 jumps total with no reserve rides Now on to the main. D, aka: nacmacfeegle has a Sabre170 he isn't jumping and offered to loan it to me when he jumps back across the big pond to get home to Scotland. Now after I get the container paid an secure a main of my own, I'm in search of a Cypress. I know some of you are going to complain about me jumping without a Cypress. I feel the same way. I would rather be jumping with one. I look at it this way for now. I'm struggling to stay current and currency is more important at the moment. Also I'm not jumping with lots of "zooommies" it's solos or 3-ways max.
So peeps, I'm pretty much walking on air today.. I'm going to go get it this afternoon..

do not buy a cypres at the cost of staying current. save your pennies and get one that only has a few years left. If it has a removable cutter so much the better. I did my first 100 jumps after getting my "a' w/o one, when I sent mine in for a 4 year I jump my rig until the next repack cycle w/o one. You should not have to have one. However it's nice to have one. Of course never, ever depend on one.

No Cypress... Wear a helmet always, and fly like you don't have a Cypress. A little caution can be a great thing!

Guys chill out... I'm going to get a Cypress.. I can't afford one right now. So I'm going to jump without one. I'ma very low time jumper and basicaly I'm doing solos and some 2 to 3 way jumps. I wear my bonehead on all my jumps. I know it's a chance I'm could get hit in the head and knocked out ect... I think at this point I'm just glad to have a rig I can call my own and able to stay current.
I'm not a doctor, engineer, or lawyer.. ect.. So money is very tight for me. I live paycheck to paycheck with little bits to spare here and there for my "fun time" I'm a very very safe jumper and if I'm nervous about anything I express my feelings to all that is on the jump beforehand.
