nacmacfeegle 0 #26 June 14, 2002 Naw, miserable so and so's ....we do get a launch during our offshore survival training though, which I always enjoy but is not everyone's cup of tea. We also get simulated chopper ditchings, upside down under water, in a mock up, with an 'envirnmental' tank. This is essentially cold, dark, windy, has waves, 'lightning', loud noises and rain etc. A bit like most weekends on a UK dz....Youd be surprised how quickly a chopper will capsize, and how disorientating being upside down in the dark, under water really is.I've been on emergency response teams, and we get to train with really big fires every once in a while. Y'all know how skydivers love fires...The first aid trauma and casualty recovery training is also quite useful...sadly CyaDGR# 37"I don't believe that kindness is a weakness"
