How does one become a "Cutter"??

Recommended Posts

We curse at people who cut in traffic, however, we can easily forgive cutters on formations. How many times have you completed a dirt dive and went up only to find that there is two people going directly to your spot. Then you have to fly to their spot and try to think about what you will be doing different from the dirt dive in order to complete it. Then you land and the person who did it doesn't even say anything! I always just laugh it off.:)Sometimes people are "cutters" on accident though. Like when a road merges and then you didn't see the sign and then you are stuck so you just whip in between the cars. I have found that giving the person you cut off a friendly wave makes for their understanding.

Or...they could be thinking that you are laughing at them and reach for the gun in the glove box....:D Only in LA though....

Hmmm... when that's happened to me, I've always taken the offending person over my knee and spanked them hard, all the while yelling "don't you ever swoop my slot again!" ;)
Okay, not really. But I would never let something like that slide - to me part of being a good skydiver is being able to find my slot and fly it no matter how big or chaotic the dive is. If someone is in my slot they can expect me to be flying next to them smacking their arm, waving madly, pointing at the correct place for them to be, whatever it takes to make them realize that they are in the wrong place.

Damn. If you did that to me I would probably think there was an emergency and track away and deploy!...j/k... I know what you mean Lisa. But usually they have lower jump numbers than me and I realize it is easier just to fly their spot and let the load organizer debrief them on the post dive. Maybe I should try what you do though. That sounds like fun!:)Blue Dreams,

Just this weekend Julie kept trying to tickle me as I was trying to get my helmet on on jump run. Rather than retailating then and there, I ignored her until we were at the third point of the 12-way - then tickled her as she attempted to build the round. I was unable to distract her sufficiently though. Gotta work on that.
