The gal that hit them was a real dumbelina. It helps to really watch out on that bridge at night, even when sober. There are all kinds of drivers on it.

All the bridges here in the Bay Area are dangerous. Well mostly because all the drivers in the Bay Area are dangerous. Especially me!! Watch Out!!
Can anyone explain the phenomenon were you'll be going 85mph abrubtly stop to a standstill then accelerate back up to 85 only to stop again? Can't we just cruise at say 65?

No kidding... there's a little bit of a sidewalk there that they should have been on. You'd have to be pretty damned drunk to hop the curb and hit someone....

A bit of trivia: Drunk drivers often will "lock on" to your emergency flashers and rear end your car. More highway patrol officers die from drunks rear-ending their cars with the emergency lights on than by violence with people by far. If you're on the side of the road by your disabled car (at night especially) get away from it. Being on the bridge meant they couldn't get that far away. Bad deal.
