IronMike 0 #26 June 22, 2002 Just for inspiration....I have had cancer 3 times and Im only 32....I started flying airshows after cancer and got my low level wiver from the FAA and a commercial licence. I started skydiving last December. Cancer makes you appreciate life more than anyone else. I have been in remisssion for 8 years and I think it has made me value life more than if I never had it. Make it a blessing, not a curse. It really can be.
Robin 0 #27 June 22, 2002 Thank you all. I never expected so many replies. Once again you've made me smile.Congratulations Monk, Skymedic and Tee - 7 years cancer-free!!!! Awesome. For me this experience has been a good one, don't get me wrong, I NEVER want to go through this again, but I'm glad I did in a way. I've learned so much about myself, and life, and what's truly important.I know I'm pretty tough and will continue to kick ass. I agree with the mental aspect of fighting disease..attitude is everything and that's why I had to keep laughing in cancers face. I jumped today. It was my "no more f-ing chemo" jump. It didn't go quite as planned but hey, they're all good!!Peace, Love and Health to Everyone!
