quade 4 #4 June 28, 2002 We have red-tailed hawks at Perris that occasionally play with us in the pattern and under canopy, but I've never heard of any of them attacking anyone. Interesting. I wonder why the hawk would do that?quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

VivaHeadDown 0 #9 June 30, 2002 Things happen in groups: During the same time I was paragliding at Marshal (San Bernadino) when a guy landed behind me with the same story! The hawk shredded several large holes that rip-stop couldn't fix and he said the day before it had come in, balled up, and bounced off the top of his canopy. But nobody else's. We all blamed it on the color of his canopy, simply because we had no other idea. Don't Confuse Me With My Own Words
Iflyme 0 #10 June 30, 2002 I seen as many as 10 bald eagles in the air when I'm under canopy -- flown over a nest with big momma in it ... but never had any problems with sharing airspace.
agitator 0 #11 June 30, 2002 Raff once made a BASE jump while holding a small child by one arm. It was pretty funny. I think he still has the arm somewhere.
