Levin 0 #4 June 30, 2002 i broke one of my wisdom teeth on a mcdonalds sausage and egg mcmuffin last monday. there was something hard in the suasage and bit down right square on it. i had it yanked last wednesday. i think the experience has helped me get over my phobia of the dentist somewhat. i told him i was scared and he had to take it easy or something. he said no problem and gave me two deadner shots. then pulled it to the right, pulled to the left and yank, out it came. the whole thing was over in 3 minutes. i felt like such a baby. plus i got a little perscription of vicoden to help with pain. since i bought them a subscription to skydiving magazine the last time i was there for a check up, it was pretty cool reading the july issue in the waiting room instead of some dum golf magazine. my mouth is still a little soar but i don't think i will have any problems jumping. i'm on my way to spaceland in just a few minutes, so we'll see. levin grat#40 vSCR#pending
pilotdave 0 #5 June 30, 2002 I got mine pulled a few years ago. I had no problems and was back to eating normal food in only like 4 or 5 days. If you're on pain killers, just make sure they won't cause any problems. Dave
wildblue 7 #6 July 1, 2002 I actually am supposed to have all of mine taken out one of these days. He said because of how the top ones could be close to the sinus cavity, to not blow my nose too hard or anything for a few days after. I asked him about flying Him "Pressurized cabin" Me: "Uhh... no" Him: "How high?" Me: "Ohh... 13,000 or so" Him: "What?!" He said I probably should jump for a week to be safe. I guess a lot depends on your situation - he actually has to do a lot of cutting and splitting to get to mine it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
