nws01 0 #1 July 3, 2002 All you Florida folks and everyone else who would like to skydive over Florida Keys. You have to pre resister now if you are interested because they are only 200 slots available. I am going to make it. I jumped in the Keys in January and I must tell you it is breath taking. Now that I live in New England this will be a perfect time to head south and enjoy the sun. You can pre register here...http://www.skydiveseb.com/register.htm and fax it to them. Might want to do it just to hold a slot for you. Hope I see you there! Taken from Skydive Sebastian Website... ***Key's Boogie, which the paperwork is now in progress for. The dates we want are November 6 - 11th, and as soon as that is approved we will let everyone know. This year we are making the boogie twice as long, and bring more lift capacity. Registration is limited to 200 people, and from the feedback I am getting I highly recommend that you register as soon as possible. It seems like everyone has heard about last year's event or they have seen the great video Mike Mjier put together and they all want to be part of the next one. Who wouldn't??? ***
nws01 0 #2 July 3, 2002 Sorry to post again but I forgot to mention you have to have a C License (100 jumps) to land at Marathon Airport and a D License (200 jumps) to land on the beach.

nws01 0 #4 July 3, 2002 You are right Pete. 100 jumps, B License for the water training. Sorry. Pete you have to sign up and get Roy, the Bartons and ALT to sign up to. the Bartons house is only like three blocks from the Marathon airport. We could stay there and walk to the dz and then take there boat out later. We can go and have fun.

flyhi 24 #6 July 3, 2002 Thanks N8. Can you give us an umbiased view of the boogie as far as its flavor, i.e. freefly or RW? Also what about amenities, costs,...Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.
nws01 0 #7 July 3, 2002 When I went in January it was with Tim and Sherry Butcher from Aerohio. They had their otter and it was just their friends mostly. They had the video from the past boogie and it was RW, freefly, raft dives, beach jumps and nice parties! The view is just amazing. Marathon is so small from a land standpoint that when you jump out all you see is water all around and a little piece of land below. Generally you break off 1000 feet higher than usual to ensure you make it back to the airport. there are huge power lines (if you have ever been to the Keys you know what I mean) on one side of the airport that you have to look out for and the landing area is not huge. You have to jump with a inflatable preserver around your waist. The view is the most amazing thing. As soon as the plane takes off you see water all around. SkyMedic was at the boogie so I will let him share more about the specifics of it when he comes online. I was at sebastian last year just after the boogie and heard about everything second-hand. Judging by the feedback from everyone who was there last year I've decided not to miss this one this time !!! At least a couple of us are intending to come from the UK for this ... who wouldn't want to jump in such beautiful surroundings especially if the vibe is as good this year .... See you there James
 nws01 0 #9 July 4, 2002 Sorry I BUMPED into this.
