airborne31582 0 #1 July 9, 2002 I had to leave my baby at the dropzone this weekend. The sides of her reserve pilot chute kept jutting out and had to get it checked by a rigger. I know that I had to do it but I am so depressed that I don't have my rig. Is this normal? Do you guys have the same feelings? I won't get her until next Saturday and I am already hurting like hell Chris I thought of the odds of me succeeding, versus the odds I was doing something incredibly stupid, and I went ahead anyway. skydiverbrian 0 #3 July 9, 2002 In the old days, before I knew better, I would let rig-less friends borrow mine. I got the same feeling when I looked up and saw my stuff flying around without me. In a world full of people, only some want to fly... isn't that crazy! --Seal
skymama 37 #4 July 9, 2002 Pd has had my canopy since May for testing. I saw it for the first time last Friday, as they were testing it after some relining. My heart skipped a beat, I want it back so badly! My Spectre loaner has been good to me, but I miss my Sabre 2.She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
tigra 0 #5 July 9, 2002 I leave my babies at the dz pretty much every weekend, safely tucked away in my locker! Does that make me a bad mom?????
glaucus73 0 #6 July 9, 2002 skymama Do you ever miss your Infinity and Hornet 190? Sweet rig I have about 50 jumps on it and the Hornet flies nice even in the 110 degree weather at Eloy.
PhillyKev 0 #7 July 9, 2002 I left mine for its first repack this past weekend. I had a dream last night that my apartment was on fire and I couldn't find my rig (the first thing I'd grab on the way out hte door).
skymama 37 #8 July 9, 2002 Oh, Kenny, I'm so glad you are happy with it! Well, a girl never forgets her first, but it was a little tough on me. Sounds like you and her are a perfect fit!She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
JJohnson 0 #9 July 9, 2002 I once took my new unjumped rig to Texas, got rained on for 5 straight days. While sitting in my hotel, I put it on....just to bond with it and fell asleep wearing it. Woke up 5 hours later. It was pretty comfortable until I rolled onto my back. JJJJ "Call me Darth Balls"
