Any DZs near Lubbock, El Paso or Nashville?

My company is sending me out on another road trip in a few weeks, and I thought I'd bring my gear with me if I can find any DZs near the three cities I am visiting?

I know that there isn't anything too close to Nashville unless you happen to have any sort of military ID card. If you do you're in luck. There's a DZ on Ft Campbell. The lifts are pricey though. About $5 for as many times as you can get on the helicopter. Other than that you'll have to go to Knoxville or drive about 3 hours to Rome, Ga.

There's one in El Paso, or next to it. I can't remember what its called, but a quick look in the database here or in parachutist and you'll probably find it.

Well, I can tell you there aren't any near Lubbock, I used to live in Amarillo and the closest DZ to there is in Hinton, Oklahoma.

i think the closest dz to el paso is westex sky-sports. they're right outside of midland. i'm pretty sure it's a cessna dz.

There's a DZ just outside of El Paso, actually, just over the New Mexico border.

When you get there, I'd suggest calling information or looking in the yellow pages, as they don't have a website. It's called Skydive El Paso.

It's a smaller DZ with 2 or 3 182's, but they're modified to get to altitude in about 15 minutes. A lot of New Mexicans went there a lot this winter when we didn't have a plane. I've heard nothing but good things about the DZ, so you might give it a shot!

The one in Nashville,TN is called Skydive Nashville 65 miles north of Nashville.

Skydive El Paso, in Santa Teresa NM. My home DZ. It's not a USPA dropzone but it is an awesome one!!
