Second Chances

Recommended Posts

I just saw an ad on tv about a show coming out in the fall. It's about a guy who goes back in time, and has a second chance at doing things differently in his life. Would this be something you would want to do?

Personally, if I had to, I would go back and live my life in a little less structured, goody-goody way, but I can't think of any specific things I'd want to change. I think everything that has happened in life makes you who you are today. Hopefully, I've learned from things, and grown from them.

that's a great 'philosophical drunk' topic. i don't think i'd change much, unless there was some way i could keep the kids but skip the ex-wife part! :D ... and maybe invest half the money i spent on beer on microsoft stock back in 1980!!!

ooooh, just thought of something else, i would have started skydiving way sooner!

That's easy. I'd change to be a girl. Be a bisexual and screw everything with two legs. Be a total slut. I'd sleep my way to the top. I'd be in porn flicks, I'd wield the power of seduction like an avenging sword. I'd sleep with captains of industry and blackmail them for their money. I'd seduce politicians and sell the photos to every newspaper in town. Why I'd even sleep with people I didn't like just to see the expressions on their faces when I'd stop halfway through and leave, I'd......
I'm sorry, was this my out loud voice again?

If I could "go back in time", I'd insist that my parents send me to a good private high school, get really good grades and go on to a really good college. Then I'd get a really good job and make loads of cash so I could retire early, travel the world and skydive my ass off.

Either that or win the lottery at age 18...

I distinctly said BI-sexual. As a woman I'd do everybody.....of course this based on me being a male, finding females good looking and guys repulsive.
Were I chick, I might find females unattractive....But I was trying to leaves all my options open.

There are things I would like to go back in change, but every change could really change who I am today. Tobe honest I really like who I am and everything in my life right now so to risk changing something in the past could really change where I am(or who I am, since everything in our past shapes who we are) now. Soo, I would choose not to change anything.

Things I would change:

I went through a huge trauma (an isolated one time event) when I was a child that I sooo wish I never went through.

Another thing is similar to Lisa's. I wish I applied myself better in H.S. and College. I definitely gave into the lazies.

Other than these two things, I would change nothing else because overall, I have had a great life.

I have no regrets in life because, as you say, life experiences make one who they are today. But, if I could not have married my ex, and still keep the knowledge from all the wrongs that happened, I would.

And, yes, definitely start skydiving earlier. :)

I think that the one thing that I would change would be to actually pay attention in some of the college courses I took. I had some pretty interesting ones in there, but like the typical college kid, I didn't pay attention, didn't do the reading, etc. Now I am wishing I had the time and money to go back and retake some of those courses.

Other than that, I have to agree with the other people who say that what we did really makes us who we are, so there isn't really anything else I would change.

Just a few things I would change- Like that cute chick in HS - Didn't know she liked me until after we were both married and had kids-
I wouldn't have pursued my favorite sport "brain-cell-killing" as passionately-
I REALLY wish I discovered skydiving back then! (I'd have been - still would be- TOTAL DZ trash!!!)
