Schroeder 0 #1 July 10, 2002 So tomorrow I leave for the Broughton Archipelago, up on northern Vancouver Island. It's gonna be a 5-6 day paddle, some open water, a lot of inter-island stuff. Anyone else here dip the stick, like to get their hands wet, etc?
nws01 0 #2 July 10, 2002 I use to whitewater kayak in the Carolinas when I lived in Atlanta. I have not done it in awhile though. I love rushing down a rocky river. Not as much as skydiving though!
 freeflir29 0 #3 July 10, 2002 Hmm...never been in a Kayak. I have however been down the Salmon, Snake, and Clark Fork Rivers in a "Funyak" (Inflateable version) Thsoe things are next to impossible to roll over by accident. Very fun!!!
 sunshine 2 #4 July 10, 2002 I used to go kayaking every year in one of those plastic kayaks. I did it up in Minnesota near Park Rapids. I really wish there was some place around here i could do it. It's tons of fun. ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug! Damn that was fun! _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.
 Schroeder 0 #6 July 10, 2002 Yeah, when I was younger (like16-18) I used to take my canoe to the whitewater. Roto-molded hull, pretty much impervious. Wild ride for sure. Sea kayaking is fun too, which is what my trip is gonna be. After a day of paddling, I'm soo looking forward to dumping my gear at camp, heading out into the surf, and playing around in it. That sea kayak will flip like nobody's business. So much fun.... Also surfed 'Big Sur' on the Colorado when the water was high enough. I've almost been more scared kayaking than skydiving, but rarely.
