hobbes4star 0 #1 July 15, 2002 So as some of you know i manage a body shop. well last night we had a storm system come through with winds recorded at 90mph at the airport across the street form my shop. well the neighbor's corigated steel roof ripped off of his building and managed to hit every single painted and repaired car sans one on my lot. i am in the middle of estimating the damage of 35 cars that where effected. i am already over $70,000 of damage and still have 14 cars to go. also i am going to miss my deadlines for the month which mean pissed of insurance companies and car owners. oh well at least i got 6 really good dives in this weekend. oh well i guess that i why we pay for insurance.if fun were easy it wouldn't be worth having, right? skybytch 273 #3 July 15, 2002 Oh me too! Me too! I'll be happy if I can get a full 8 hours sleep tonight, instead of the 3-5 hours that I've been getting for the last two weeks. Hot + humid + a severe lack of cooling in my house have kept me up til ridiculous hours of the morning every night. It's catching up with me... I'm really starting to live up to my nickname today. Slappie 9 #4 July 15, 2002 I'm not having a really bad day. This weather in Houston has been suckin for about a week now and needs to find somewhere else to go. Isn't there some other state that needs all this rain? I guess the weather and the lack of funds {aka: money} are my only complaints lately..... That and the lack of jump because of the afore mentioned problems... narcimund 0 #5 July 15, 2002 For the last two years our house has been getting incredibly hot during the summer. We just sweated through it until two weeks ago when I finally asked myself, "Why is this happening?" (Duh!) It turns out the exhaust fan in my attic died. A $40 fan and $40 worth of a handyman's time and now the house stays 30 degrees cooler on hot days. First Class Citizen Twice Over

kiltboy 0 #10 July 15, 2002 I was taking the trash out this morning only to lock myself out as I'd forgotten my wallet and keys on the table. Spent half an hour pounding on the door trying to waken the roommate's girlfriend so she could let me in to no avail. Walked to the gas station where I called the roommate to drop off his keys. Then I sat outside my apartment nursing sore knuckles and feeling stupid. The rest of the day was fine but my knuckles still hurt. Luckily there's beer in the fridge
 hobbes4star 0 #11 July 15, 2002 ya but you don't understand i just got done repairing most of the cars. once good twice bad. especally when the customer never got to see the finished product. plus i have 22 employees that do the repair work. i don't get to fix cars anymore.if fun were easy it wouldn't be worth having, right?
