skybytch 273 #1 July 5, 2002 If you ever jumped, worked, partied or just hung out at Skydive Paso Robles or Blue Sky Adventures in Paso Robles, California (or even if you've just heard the stories and wish you had....) YOU are invited to the first ever Paso Skydivers Reunion! Mark your calendar for October 26 & 27 and plan to join us at Star Farms for jumping and a Paso-style party - you don't want to miss this one! At least one C206 to jump out of, bbq, beer, old jump stories, Lancaster Bomber reenactment, Australian Stretch and an Al Stevens lookalike contest, not to mention all those wierdos you haven't seen for a few years... Check out http://www.skybytch.com/paso.htm or you can email pasoreunion@hotmail.com for all the details. Hope to see you there!
TEB6363 0 #2 July 5, 2002 Lisa, I got an e-mail from Shelly, I already have it marked on my schedule. It should be fun. A big BBQ at star farms, a swim in the lake.... Once the plane takes off, you're gonna have to land - Might as well jump out!!
Sebazz1 2 #3 July 10, 2002 Never jumped there. My father is next door neighbors with dean Porter who owns Star Farms. When I first met the guy and I told him I was a jumper his first remark was "skytrash" he said it in a laughing manner though. Afterwards he proceeded to tell me stories for two hours I dare not say on these public forums. I will say that they sounded like real good parties! He is looking forward to the mini invasion as are some other locals. Count me in! Lookin forward to it for sure.
skybytch 273 #4 July 10, 2002 QuoteI told him I was a jumper his first remark was "skytrash" LOL! Yup, that's what many of us were known as... Quotehe proceeded to tell me stories for two hours I dare not say on these public forums. Really? Well, for sure I was never a part of any of that kind of debauchery. I'm a good girl. Really I am. QuoteHe is looking forward to the mini invasion as are some other locals. It's looking like it's going to be an excellent party - I've already got 15 "be there for sure's" and have contacted 20+ more people. Can't wait! I am in Bakersfield Ca. this is not a commitment, DTOXX extends to warrenties to this claim and may or may not actually attend. We do need people to preregister if this is gonna happen... besides needing money up front to buy beer and food and pay a/c ferry fees, we're going to need everyone who plans to jump to get, sign and return a waiver before the weekend of the event. The organizers plan to have fun both days... not run around taking care of administrative b.s.
