Nice Ultra-Liberal group there...way too socialist for my tastes. Here's a couple quotes from their website that I found interesting:

Might be a bit hard to enforce a ban on circumcision. "You look like a crimina to me - drop those pants!"

That was my thought...if they want a ban on circumcision, isn't that anti-Jewish? They also stated on their website that the US should stop all support of any kind to Isreal. They seem to be carrying an Anti-Semitic tone here, even though they were touting themselves as being in the AntiFasicism league, they seem very pro-Arab, too a seemingly distructful end.

their stance on other issues has nothing to do with the fact that GW is trying to make the presidential office into kingship with no culpability to the American people. I find it sad that you because you find their stance on other issues to be so offensive you don't see the real issue which was and still is the Patriot Act. There was no mention of Abortion or genital mutilation in that petition so I fail how they come into this thread.

John, I know what you're saying, I don't really agree with the Patriot Act, but before I agree to put my name down on something that is calling for political change, I like to know who I'm allying with comes from on other issues. Since I can not agree with CORA as an organization I am not going to join their petition. That is my point. I'm doing other things on my end make my voice known, like dropping a line to my congressman, etc.

If the Klu Klux Klan came to your door with an anti-patriot-act petition, would you sign it?

I really don't follow the logic. How does signing a petition make you a member or an ally of an organization? I mean does your signing that petition mean that you now approve of abortion and are against genital mutilation? I'm not trying to change your mind but I really want to understand your line of reasoning. Don't you want to agree about the big stuff and then fight over the small stuff later?

Good Point.......well in truth thats a hard one.....but if I didn't slam the door in their face and actually let them talk probably but also note that you don't have to sign the petition and can just email your congressmen. On another note I don't think that an organization that asks for The US to put some pressure on Isreal to treat the Palestinians decently is the same as the KKK so lets use an organization that I find about as distasteful as Dave and you seem to find this one.... The Republican Party. I would definitly sign the same petition if it was sponsered by the republican party. I wouldn't like it but I would do it
