Hooking low sucks- been there--- thats why I fly more than I jump. if you want to hook it, do it right, have a clear atea to pull out of, dont hook with no out half way though it- it can kill ya.

Yes, strange day at Elsinore during the SSL. We had several teams going to their alternate because of sprained ankles on landing and one hard opening; on a Spectre. I even got clobbered during a block move. Got kneed in the back of the head, but mostly from the side. Now I know why they call that block the Stardian.
Keep in mind that on hot summer days, especially at Elsinore and Perris, that you will experience high density altitude performance, or lack of it, on your canopy. ie. your canopy will handle like it was at 5000+ rather than your dz elevation on hotter days. Worse with light winds.
