grosfion 0 #1 July 23, 2002 A question for the Aussies: When a student after his AFF (USPA) comes to jump in Australia (still without licence), does he has to convert to the SOS (Single Op. Sys) and when he has the licence to learn everything again? Is it a regulation that students MUST jump the SOS system? cheers Marcus
jumpy 0 #2 July 23, 2002 hmm i don't really know the answer for sure but i'm pretty sure that they wouldn't make you convert to the SOS system just to have to convert right back to two shot in a couple of jumps. Might be best to email somone from the APF though www.apf.asn.au Hope i was helpfulWhere are you planning to jump in Australia anyway?
grosfion 0 #3 July 23, 2002 I'm going to Skydive Express York. I heard something with a DOS (dual action sys,). Hope they have it there. Marcus
skymick 0 #4 July 23, 2002 I dont think there is anything in the PAF Op Regs that states you must use a SOS system while still a student ( I could be wrong) so I think it depends on whether the DZ you goto uses a SOS system on their student gear or not
