Enrique 0 #1 July 25, 2002 If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. With Enron, you would have $16.50 of the original $1,000.00. With Worldcom, you would have less than $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser (the beer, not the stock) one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

FliegendeWolf 0 #3 July 25, 2002 It is good advice, but bear in mind that the only state where you would get such a return is Michigan. Some of the other states will only return $107, while the rest will leave you worse off than Worldcom. Except for the beer, of course. My advice, I guess, is to come up to Michigan, and when you're here, visit us in Napoleon (and don't forget the beer). thrillseek 0 #5 July 25, 2002 hmmm....recycle and get $214 in cash....that's 11 jumps at WFFC and $16 left to buy more beer, and the cycle continues...woohoo!!
