rapper4mpi 0 #1 July 25, 2002 Is anyone planning on checking this out at all? I know it is during the beginning of Summerfest and WFFC, but it should be quite a show. All the top factory pilots. Cross-braced airlocked canopies, and an incredible show. Let me know. -Rap p.s. check out the site below. http://www.redbullwingsoverchicago.com/

flyhi 24 #4 July 25, 2002 QuoteThe competition is based on how far the skydivers fly horizontally at a distance of 10’ above the water (often as far as 200’!) Methinks they doth underestimate the boys!Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.
rapper4mpi 0 #5 July 26, 2002 I agree, this event it going to be amazing to watch, plus I've never been to Chicago! The cool part is that they are swooping over water onto a small barge, should be interesting! -Rap
indyz 1 #6 July 30, 2002 Awright, I have Saturday off of work so if my container doesn't show up in time to get a few jumps in I'll probably head into the city and check this out. Is anybody else going? Also, the web page says that swooping is in the morning, but doesn't give a specific time. Does anybody know when this is going to happen? indyz 1 #7 July 30, 2002 QuoteAlso, the web page says that swooping is in the morning, but doesn't give a specific time. Does anybody know when this is going to happen? Ignore that part. Round 3 of the swoop comp starts at 9:00 AM and round 4 at 10:00 AM. That's plenty of time to watch the swoops and make it out to a DZ to get the rig assembled and jumped at least once. Schweet! Now, who's gonna come and watch with me?
rapper4mpi 0 #8 July 30, 2002 I'll be there, driving all the way from Vermont, then heading down to Summerfest. Keep in mind though, those times are approximates. With the crazy winds coming off the lake, the swooping could be much later. -Rap

Rdutch 0 #10 July 30, 2002 Skydivers fly an exponential curve causing them to pick up speed. Too funny never heard a Hook Turn described like that. Ray Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!
VivaHeadDown 0 #11 July 30, 2002 Shannon Pilcher...418 feet. I taught him everything he knows. Ok, so maybe I only watched, whatever. Don't Confuse Me With My Own Words
