Get your aerial photos...

I've been looking forever on all the satellite imagery sites for a good aerial photo of Crosskeys and could never find it. Just stumbled across it on mapquest today. After you find the map, you can click on a tab for the aerial photo. Lets you adjust in all directions and zoom in and out. Really good quality image too. If you've been looking for one for your home dz, give www.mapquest.com a shot.

BTW...I tried going to the website of the company that provides the images, but it can't find the address, but mapquest did.

We did a thread a bit over a year ago where we all posted sattelite photos of our dropzones. Anyone interested can do a search and I am sure you will find it.

check out Elsinore... even shows the grass landing area. perris' is pretty good as well.

Yeah, if I recall correctly there wasn't one for CK at that time and none was posted. This one is pretty decent, and you can customize the size, position and zoom.

I think Terraserver has better resolution, but the color on mapquest is nice.

Thanks for the tip, Dave. The resolution AND the zoom is much better with Terraserver. Here's Napoleon Skydiving Center. Note the grass runways ... great for butt-flops!
