BikerBabe 0 #4 August 1, 2002 HEY! I resemble...uh...resent that remark!! So if I'm an officer, do I get a special dispensation because I'm a skydiver? Or does that make it worse? packman 0 #6 August 1, 2002 Quote Believe me, not all of them are like that... I was in the Air Force for 6 years and worked in the Parachute Shop , 99% of the officers that came in there were really cool people , its that 1% that you got to watch out for. coconutmonkey 0 #7 August 1, 2002 Better be careful about who find out. Ya might get accused of being an infiltrator to their organization. freeflir29 0 #8 August 1, 2002 That was the cool part of the job that I had in the Air Force. The AF officers got to tell me what to do about 50% of the time. The Army officers got to tell me what to do exactly 0% of the time. Many of them got my famous reply of "When you pull your head out of your ass Captain, come back and talk with me. " They really liked that one....especially from an E-5 Staff Sergeant...... Of course, when you got to Full birds and above you had to find a more tactful way of saying this...... but usually Colonels and above didn't have their head up their ass. BikerBabe 0 #9 August 1, 2002 Quotebut usually Colonels and above didn't have their head up their ass. Sheesh, I must not be in the same Air Force... LOL, maybe we CGO's look at colonels (and generals) the same way E-5's look at CGO's? **BikerBabe wanders away muttering, "all those senior officers are out of touch, dammit..."**Never meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup! freeflir29 0 #11 August 1, 2002 QuoteI must not be in the same Air Force... Oh sorry...let me clarify. I was talking about Army officers. No, I ran into plenty of senior officers in the Air Force that had their head up their ass. One or two that were really sharp guys but they were exceptions. Normally the Army guys were squared away by then. The Army seems to have better senior leadership. Certainly you get your dumbasses that want to GIVE everyone a beret but percentage wise I think the Army is better off.
BikerBabe 0 #12 August 1, 2002 LOL...the berets...LOL! Well, if I make it that far, I pledge here and now to never have my head up my ass.
