FliegendeWolf 0 #1 August 1, 2002 Okay, how's this for bitten: I just decided that I'm calling in sick tomorrow, making my Level III, and am going to start learning to pack bright and early Saturday morning. Work sucks. I'm going skydiving. SteveA One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

DTOXX 0 #3 August 1, 2002 LOL at level 4 I started to take "long lunches" from work. The DZ is about 10 minutes away from my office. Just remember, it is most likely that JOB that make jumping possible... ------- D.T. Holder SIMstudy
CanuckInUSA 0 #4 August 1, 2002 I'm there with you bro. Well not physically in the same location, but weather permitting I'll be doing my Level V jump tomorrow instead of being at work. Hey the way I see it, I'm saving myself $50 (the cancellation fee my DZ charges people) and getting to jump at the same time (I was hoping to take the entire day off and jump 2-3 times, but it looks like I'll only be absent from work in the morning and get 1 jump in). skymut 0 #5 August 1, 2002 WHEW!! When I first saw the 'thread subject', I was gonna recommend a shot of penicillin. I, cough-cough, hack-hack, had that same bug last Friday - 3 jumps later and I felt great. Is this a relapse I feel coming on? FliegendeWolf 0 #7 August 2, 2002 I have a feeling that the jumping bug is a lot like most infections ... you never get yourself totally free of the bacteria. It just goes into remission... Then, next thing you know you have another breakout!A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All
nws01 0 #8 August 2, 2002 I remember when I caught the "bug". I ended up losing my job, maxed out my credit card, and thought of nothing else but skydiving. Since then I have gotten a new job, gotten out of debt, and yet all I think about is skydiving. It is nice to know that I can jump anytime I want to for just $20.00. The initial catastrophe it caused in my life from a financial / work standpoint was well worth it. We only live once!

(that is luch half-hour) i'm with you on this one. the best i could do from here would be a BASE jump from the 53rd floor - and land in the big hole where the world trade center used to be. spiral out...keep going...
