kinney29 0 #1 August 2, 2002 That's right only 2 and a half months and this green suit dissapears. No more PT (at least not a 6 a.m.) No more smart mouthed privates. No more egotistical Senior NCO's. No more Saturday duty. No more dirty ass roomates. Nope now I get real job and pay state taxes. But at least I'll have more time to jump. Hooah! ^ The military is a lot like prison, after a while you get instutionalized. ^
jfields 0 #2 August 2, 2002 Congrats! Prepare to rejoin the rest of the world. It is fun on the outside. One mistake I made was quitting the exercise in rebellion after I got out. You don't have to get up at oh-dark-thirty any more, but watch yourself or you will blob out. It is easier to stay in shape than to get back into shape. kinney29 0 #3 August 2, 2002 I definetly plan on it. But I'll be doing it in a gym and not on some field, when its 15 degrees out. ^If when ever a plane flies overhead, you try to determine freefall time - you might be a skydiver.^
chicagoskydiver 0 #4 August 2, 2002 I started counting how many days I was short when I had over 400 days left! LMAO!!! I didn't really get the short timer's attitude until I was under 40 days short though. Congrats on your ETS....which any military guy can tell you stands for "enough of this shit!" lolHackey
freeflir29 0 #5 August 2, 2002 Congrats!!! Civi life is the poop...except that whole paying taxes thing. Now I pay taxes on 100% of what I make instead of 50% like before. The sense of freedom takes a while to get used to. It's kinda of strange knowing I can just quit my job and move anywhere in the world I want at a moments notice. Pretty damn cool!!!
